Playground Ribbon Cutting

Thank you for joining us for the ribbon cutting of the new Chastain Park Playground!

Thursday, May 1st | 4:00 PM 📍 Chastain Park Playground – 135 Chastain Park Avenue

We are excited to invite all families and children to join us as we officially cut the ribbon on the newly reimagined Chastain Park Playground – featuring the return of our Treehouse and new play structures!

Originally expanded in 2016 to serve children of all ages and abilities, the playground grew from 10,000 to 40,000 square feet, added restrooms, and introduced a one-of-a-kind treehouse at its heart. After the treehouse was lost in 2022, the community rallied once again. Together with the City of Atlanta, we not only rebuilt the treehouse — we enhanced the entire play experience with added seating, shade structures, and more space to explore.

This ribbon cutting isn’t just about a structure — it’s about the power of partnership, play, and persistence.

We’re honored to welcome Mayor Andre Dickens, Councilmember Mary Norwood, Commissioner Justin Cutler, and Board Chair Steve Cook to help us mark this milestone.

There will be music, popsicles, and the Play Mobile on-site with games and fun for all ages — so bring your family, friends, and neighbors!
