Celebrating International Women’s Day by Welcoming Three Outstanding Leaders to Our Board

As we celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 and recognize Women’s History Month throughout March, we are proud to share exciting news for the Chastain Park Conservancy: we are welcoming three exceptional new board members — and all three are remarkable women leaders in our community.

      • Shelley Cartwright of Georgia Power
      • Lisa McMahon of Atlanta Track Club
      • Wendy Stewart of Bank of America

Each of these women brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and community commitment to our mission. Their professional expertise — spanning finance, energy, and health and wellness — will strengthen our work to preserve, protect, and enhance Chastain Park for generations to come.

International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the achievements of women past and present, and Women’s History Month invites us to reflect on the impact women have made across every sector of society. We are especially honored that, at this meaningful moment, we can welcome three accomplished women who are choosing to invest their time and leadership in the future of our park.

We look forward to the ideas, energy, and passion Wendy, Shelly, and Lisa will bring to the Conservancy. Please join us in celebrating them — and in recognizing the powerful role women continue to play in shaping strong, vibrant communities.
