A Special Dedication at Chastain Park Honoring Atlanta Music Legends

Chastain Park will soon host a meaningful moment in Atlanta’s music history. Community members are invited to attend a special ceremony commemorating the renaming of Alex Cooley Parkway to Cooley Conlon Drive and the planting of two commemorative trees honoring legendary Georgia music promoters Alex Cooley and Peter Conlon.

The dedication celebrates the lasting influence these two individuals have had on Atlanta’s live music scene and on the cultural life of our city. Their work helped shape the success and reputation of the Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park as one of the region’s most beloved live music venues.
