Chastain Park Conservancy

2024 Impact Report

The 2024 Impact Report highlights a year of growth, restoration, and community-driven improvements at Chastain Park. With over 3.2 million visitors, the Conservancy continued its mission to restore, enhance, maintain, and preserve the park’s 268 acres. Thanks to 750 volunteers contributing 2,850 hours, and 37 corporate partners, the park remains a thriving and accessible space for all.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Park Enhancements & Conservation: The Conservancy planted 5,000+ native plants, restored 50 acres of forest, uncovered 850 feet of historic waterways, and created six new pollinator gardens.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: In partnership with Milwaukee Tool Company, CPC transitioned to battery-powered lawn equipment, eliminating 5,700 pounds of CO₂ emissions annually.
  • Community Engagement & Events: Signature events like Wine Chastain, Chastain Challenge, Auto Show, and Dine Chastain helped raise critical funds while fostering connections.
  • Future Plans: The 40-acre Palisades Project will introduce green space, nature trails, and improved pedestrian access, linking Chastain Park to the Atlanta BeltLine.

Through ongoing restoration, sustainability efforts, and strategic partnerships, the Chastain Park Conservancy remains committed to keeping the park clean, safe, and green for generations to come.
