Spring Volunteer Shout Out Goes to Holy Innocents' Students!

A big "Green Volunteer Shout Out" goes to Holy Innocents' Episcopal School (HIES) Students have who assisted with multiple projects this spring.  In March, over a hundred students assisted with park clean up during the HIES day of service.  The group worked clearing trails and cleaning the amphitheatre.

Over the last six weeks, students assisted with the Walk Chastain park user demographics study.  Students counted and categorized path users at specific intervals throughout the day.  The count results are being compiled and analyzed into a demographics report for Walk Chastain which will be used to obtain funding for the Powers Ferry Road path extension.

Students also assisted with the recent TriPATHlon event by making race day bags for all participants.  "We are so fortunate to have such a great volunteer partnership with Holy Innocents, said Ray Mock, CPC Director of Operations.  "These students are willing to work on projects from outdoor park clean up to administrative projects.  Many live in the surrounding neighborhoods and have a love for the Park."

Thanks go to the following students for their contribution to the Chastain Park Conservancy!  Go Bears!
