Last Friday, June 12, at 9 am, the Chastain Park Conservancy celebrated the launch of construction on our 40,000 sq. ft. outdoor natural learning environment. Play Chastain will serve 85,000 children within a 5 mile radius of the park.

Bill Caldwell of Harrison Design. Board Member of the CPC and special design consultant for the project, Cynthia Gentry, Play Chastain playground designer, Michael Halicki, Executive Director of Park Pride and Andrew Lindsay, president of Astra Group, the construction company that will be building Play Chastain.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15 and to be completed by December of this year. The 2.5 million dollar capital campaign project of the Chastain Park Conservancy is part of the Master Plan agreement with the City of Atlanta.
