Start training – the race is on! Chastain Park Conservancy, Path Foundation and Chastain Park Civic Association partner to bring the first Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead “triPATHlon” event to Chastain Park.
TriPATHlon is a unique, intown fully sanctioned USTA sprint triathlon and will benefit the coordinating sponsors – Chastain Park Conservancy, PATH Foundation and Chastain Park Athletic Club. The race is scheduled for May 8th at 7:30 AM and includes a 400 yard swim in the Chastain Park pool, a 15-mile bike ride through one of Atlanta’s most beautiful neighborhoods around the Park and concludes with a 5K run on the Chastain Park PATH.
“The unique part of this race is being able to have all segments of Atlanta’s first in-town triathlon at the Chastain Park, said “Gip Johnston, CPC Executive Director. “Chastain Park is a valued resource to the people of Atlanta and we hope everyone will come out and support this great event.”
The entry fee is $75 for USAT members and $85 for non-members. Registration is limited to 550 participants. To register, click here. Participants must be at least 13 years old by 5/08/11 to compete.
